Israel arrests five for stealing millions from public funds for evacuees

Five suspects have been arrested in Israel for stealing tens of millions of shekels from public funds designated for evacuees impacted by the war. The stolen funds were meant to be awarded to those who returned to work at least 11 days a month, but it was discovered that many were claiming the funds without legal entitlement. The suspects have been identified as Deir al-Assad, Kisra Sumia, Uzir, Nazareth, and Beit Jan.
