Indian-American software engineer Vaniya Agrawal publicly shared her resignation email to Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and colleagues after disrupting the company's 50th anniversary event. Agrawal confronted Microsoft leadership over the company's alleged role in providing AI technology to Israel's military. She accused Microsoft of enabling Israel's military operations in Gaza. In her resignation email, Agrawal cited an Associated Press investigation revealing Microsoft's contract with Israel's Ministry of Defense and called the company a 'digital weapons manufacturer that powers surveillance, apartheid, and genocide.' Another protester, Ibtihal Aboussad, was also terminated for similar disruptions at the event.
