Indonesia's President Prabowo Subianto has stated that the country is prepared to temporarily shelter Palestinians affected by the war in Gaza. The president has instructed the foreign minister to discuss with the Palestinian side and other parties on how to evacuate impacted Palestinians to Indonesia. The victims would stay in Indonesia until they have recovered from their injuries and the situation in Gaza is safe for their return. Indonesia has been advocating for a two-state solution and has provided humanitarian aid. Prabowo's comment comes after Indonesia strongly rejected any attempt to forcibly displace Palestinians, as suggested by U.S. President Donald Trump.
