AIMA prosecutor Sebastián Basso has requested an international arrest warrant for Iran's Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, for his involvement in the 1994 bombing of a Jewish community center in Buenos Aires. The attack resulted in 85 deaths and 300 injuries, and was believed to be carried out by Hezbollah with Iranian support. This request represents a shift in the previous position of the UIF-AMIA, who saw Khamenei as having immunity.
