A Navy task group is testing drone boats in the Red Sea, equipped with technology to navigate independently of GPS in case of hostile interference. The group aims to stress-test tech that may be used by the Navy in areas with threats of disruption. The task group will develop an after-action report with insights into successes and failures and recommendations for the fleet. They are also planning an experiment to employ unmanned vessels in concert with manned assets using the Navy's standard jet fuel, JP-5.
