The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted a return of heatwave conditions in several parts of India after a brief relief. Temperatures in Pune are also expected to surge to 39-42°C by April 14. The IMD has issued heatwave warnings for multiple regions, including West Rajasthan, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Punjab, Haryana, east Rajasthan, and west Madhya Pradesh. Experts have noted that the country is experiencing severe heat unusually early this season, with temperatures reaching 45.6°C in some areas. The early heatwave is attributed to reduced frequency of western disturbances and altered wind patterns.
