A rare forest dormouse spotted at a Galilee factory was rescued, treated, and released back into the wild by KKL-JNF. The injured dormouse was underweight and had an injury to her tail, likely caused by a stray cat. After receiving medical care and regaining weight, the dormouse was gradually reintroduced to her natural environment. Forest dormice are small and elusive rodents that spend most of their lives in nests built high among the trees. The release of this dormouse highlights the importance of protecting the Galilee's natural ecosystems.
