India successfully tests a 30-kilowatt laser-based system to disable small remotely-piloted aircraft, swarm drones, missiles, and sensors. The tests were conducted at the national open air range at Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh. The system marks a significant breakthrough for India in developing cost-effective counter-drone systems. DRDO is now working on DEWs with power levels of 50 to 100-kilowatt as well as high-energy microwaves.
