Hamas has stated that it is unwilling to lay down arms in Gaza, according to Al Jazeera. The group informed Egypt that a cessation of hostilities and withdrawal, not disarmament, is the gateway to any agreement. Hamas also proposed the handover of hostages over 45 days to extend the ceasefire and allow more aid into Gaza.
