An amateur diver in the Gulf of Eilat spotted a rare frogfish, an Antennariidae, on Saturday. The fish was camouflaged on a submerged metal structure near an artificial reef. Frogfish are known for their elusive nature and exceptional camouflage abilities, making them difficult to detect. The diver submitted the footage to the Israel Nature and Parks Authority and the Interuniversity Institute for Marine Sciences in Eilat to contribute to the understanding of fish species in the area.
