Israel's security agency, the Shin Bet, has investigated over 20 leaks of classified information in the past year. The agency stated that the leaks were carried out by defense establishment employees and were a threat to the security of the state. The Shin Bet also clarified that journalists were not interrogated or had their phones tapped during the investigation. A Shin Bet official was arrested by Israel Police for sharing classified information with unauthorized individuals.
