The demands made by the Trump administration's Task Force to Combat Antisemitism are essential, including ending DEI programming, requiring merit-based hiring and admissions, and banning student groups that promote violence. Harvard's rejection of the plan is a defense of institutional impunity, not educational freedom. Protecting Jewish students is the bare minimum and should be supported by Congress, civil rights groups, and Jewish organizations.
