The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has denied involvement in talks with the United States over a land offensive in Yemen against the Houthi group. Reports of the UAE's involvement were described as 'wild unsubstantiated stories' by the UAE's assistant minister for political affairs. Yemeni forces opposed to the Houthis are reportedly in talks with the US and Gulf allies about a possible land offensive. The UAE was part of a Saudi-led coalition that launched a military campaign in Yemen in 2015, but ended much of its presence in 2019.
