The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has denied reports that it is involved in talks with the United States over a land offensive in Yemen against the Houthi group. The UAE's assistant minister for political affairs dismissed the reports as 'wild unsubstantiated stories'. Yemeni forces opposed to the Houthis are reportedly in talks with the US and Gulf allies about a possible land offensive. The UAE was part of a Saudi-led coalition that launched a military campaign in Yemen in 2015.
