Cody Balmer was arrested for allegedly setting fire to the Pennsylvania Governor's Mansion while Governor Josh Shapiro and his family were inside. Balmer called 911 and stated that he targeted Shapiro partly because of his views on the crisis in the Middle East. While authorities are still determining a motive, Balmer's loved ones believe mental health issues were the root cause of his actions. Balmer used homemade Molotov cocktails to start the fire, and the extent of the damage to the mansion is extensive.
