The ruling stated that migrants could 'likely' find shelter in temporary or emergency accommodation and have access to basic sanitary facilities. The decision is likely to support incoming Chancellor Friedrich Merz's goal of reducing the number of incoming asylum seeker arrivals to under 100,000 a year.
