Jewish groups have condemned a pro-Palestine march in Essex, which took place near a small London Jewish community during Passover. The march, organized by Chelmsford for Palestine, passed through the streets of Westcliff, near Southend, while Jewish families were walking home from synagogue. Campaign Against Antisemitism criticized the police for allowing the march and said that some protesters showed support for banned terrorist organizations. The Community Security Trust called the march a deliberately antagonistic act that causes fear and alarm in the local Jewish community.
