Archaeologists have discovered the tomb of Prince Weser Khaf Ra, son of King Userkaf, in the Saqqara necropolis. The tomb includes the first-ever statues of King Djoser with his wife and ten daughters. The discovery also includes a massive false door made of pink granite, inscribed with hieroglyphic inscriptions. Preliminary studies suggest that the statues were originally located near the Step Pyramid of King Djoser and were later moved to the tomb of Prince Weser Khaf Ra. The mission will continue to uncover more elements of the tomb and determine the reason for the relocation of the statues.
