A conservative podcaster has caused controversy for criticizing Pope Francis's progressive reforms within hours of the pontiff's death. Joey Mannarino made the remarks on X Monday, where he wrote Francis's passing at the age of 88 was merely a good 'chance to get a conservative into [the] position' - as opposed to a cause for mourning. Many of those upset were Catholic conservatives who vowed to unfollow Mannarino.
