Gary Lineker has accused the BBC of pushing him out of Match of the Day, claiming that his bosses never wanted him to stay despite starting contract talks last year. Lineker offered to take a pay cut to stay on the show, but it appears the BBC wanted to bring in new people. Lineker will be replaced by Sky Sports' Kelly Cates and BBC regulars Mark Chapman and Gabby Logan from August.
