Robotaxi maker Pony.ai sees Trump's trade war hitting sentiment,...

China-based robotaxi developer Pony.ai Inc expects Trump's trade war with China to impact its international expansion plans, but anticipates little direct impact on its supply chain. The company has been exploring deployment in South Korea, Luxembourg, the Middle East, and other countries. Pony.ai's CEO James Peng stated that while the company has alternatives and backups for its supply chain, the trade war will likely affect sentiment and its plan for international expansion. The company uses Nvidia's autonomous-grade chips and has backup suppliers from Chinese domestic chip manufacturers. Pony.ai is also considering a secondary listing in Hong Kong.
