The workers’ committee of the Israel Broadcasting Authority has begun sanctions ahead of next month’s closing of the Authority and the opening of the CAN public broadcasting corporation.
On Sunday night, employees broadcast slides on the screen of Channel 1 with the script, “Citizens of Israel, on April 30, the eve of Memorial Day, the IBA is being closed on the order of finance minister Moshe Kahlon. A thousand families will be added to the cycle of unemployment. Today it’s us. Tomorrow it’s you.”
