Corona commissioner: Infection coefficient likely to rise today

Israel’s Coronavirus commissioner, Prof. Nachman Ash, told Galei Tzahal that, in his estimate, the COVID infection coefficient will see an increase throughtout the day (Wed).

“Yesterday there were about 4,400 verified cases of the virus which is approximately the same number as last week – which indicates an uptick in cases,” said Ash. He also mentioned the night curfew to be imposed on Purim and said: “We wanted to ensure the minimum restrictions, but when news of parties and social events started coming in, we had to impose a night curfew. Hopefully, people will stick to the guidelines.”
