Employees of the Israel Broadcasting Authority took its Reshet Bet (Radio 2) service off the air on Thursday morning.
Despite promises by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and others that they will try to preserve the financially-ailing IBA, the workers are protesting potential layoffs with the start of the new public broacasting corporation, currently scheduled for the end of April.
