The Health Ministry reported Tuesday evening that 2,835 new coronavirus cases have been diagnosed the previous day.
With some 47,000 tests conducted Monday, the contagion rate stands at 6.%.
There are currently 793 patients in serious condition, of which 263 are connected to ventilators.
Israel’s coronavirus death toll stands at 5,631.
