Israeli Opera announces its 2021-2022 season

The New Israeli Opera has announced its 2021-2022 season, with eight new operas slated for the next year.

The Tel Aviv opera house’s season opens with the November 2021 production of “The Magic Flute,” a production of the Berlin Comic Opera, a popular performance melding live opera with animation.

December and January bring “Eugene Onegin,” directed by Israeli Opera maestro Dan Ettinger, who will also direct “La Traviata” in January and February 2022.

Three new opera works are being produced by Israeli directors Ido Riklin, Inbal Pinto and Ido Rosenberg, while “Big Tuchus in the Opera,” based on the works of playwright Hanoch Levin, will be performed in July through August 2022.
