Joint List’s Odeh rushed to hospital over kidney stone

Joint List leader Ayman Odeh was hospitalized Wednesday after experiencing severe pain from a kidney stone.

Odeh was rushed to Rambam Medical Center in Haifa, where he was to undergo medical examinations.

His spokesman said Wednesday that Odeh “is currently undergoing the necessary tests while under sedation.”

Odeh is the second Joint List lawmaker to be hospitalized for kidney stones in recent weeks, following the predominantly Arab alliance’s No. 2, Ahmad Tibi, who underwent emergency surgery for the condition.

Ra’am chairman Mansour Abbas was hospitalized and underwent surgery for the same condition in April.

Odeh, 46, also heads the Hadash faction in the Joint List. He has served as a Knesset member since 2015.
