Knesset approves the bill for a memorial day for Menachem Begin

The Knesset plenum approved the bill of the chairman of the Likud faction, MK Yariv Levin, to set a state memorial day in memory of the late former Prime Minister Menachem Begin.
“I am glad that the important bill I initiated was approved in a preliminary reading. This is the least that should be done for Menachem Begin, a great leader who designed important elements in his own identity and the very existence of the State of Israel. I am convinced that learning his legacy in schools as set out in the bill will greatly contribute to the education of our future generation,” Levin said.
