Turkey behind latest outbreak in Israel's Arab sector

According to newly-released data from the Ministry of Health, Israeli tourists infected with the coronavirus who have returned home are behind the latest resurgence in the Arab sector.

From the beginning of October until last Wednesday, out of 988 Israelis returning from trips to Turkey, no less than 197 tested positive for the virus.

That means that duriing that time period, 20% of those who traveled from Israel to Turkey were infected while on vacation. The Ministry of Health said it believes the import of the disease, along with resumed wedding celebrations in the Arab sector are the main reasons behind the renewed and alarming outbreak.
