Manhattan woman sues fashion designer Elie Tahari for $13 million after she rented his luxury Hamptons home but arrived to find it ‘infested with flies and vermin and reeking of mold, urine and feces’

  • Manhattan woman Bridget Maguire is suing Israeli designer Elie Tahari after renting his luxury Hamptons home, after she claims it was in a filthy condition
  • Maguire claims the Sagaponack home was infested with ‘flies and vermin and reeked of mold, urine and feces’
  •  A $13 million lawsuit was filed against Tahari’s ET Crestview Leasing LLC with the Manhattan Supreme Court
  • In the lawsuit, she claims she paid Tahari $415,000 for the expenses which broke tenant laws for its large demand of money upfront
  • Real estate lawyer Adam Leitman Bailey claims that Maguire allegedly paid $150,000 of her own money to fix up the property after Tahari refused to fix it
  •  The 4,500 square-foot property was purchased by Tahari in 2005 
  • He listed the property for $45 million in 2017 and then for $39 million in 2019
